Matt has always been a huge motorsport junkie. Ever since jumping into a go-kart for the first time, he has wanted to go faster and learn more about cars and driving techniques. Up until getting involved in drifting he has tried Hornet racing, endurance racing, and drag racing – all at Evergreen Speedway. Drifting is his favorite so far but he has learned so much about building cars with every other style of racing.

He started drifting with the stock 350Z in late 2013 and has been slowly modifying it ever since. This season he plans on having an LS1 V8 out of a GTO dropped into the car to make him competitive in the EVD ProAm series.

Matt is married with a 1 year old son. Both of them have been in the stands at Evergreen Speedway whenever he competes. He can tell that his son loves watching and is already addicted to cars so he’s positive that his obsession will be going on for awhile
